The theme “Stewards of the Sacred Sphere”, chosen in honour of St. Francis of Assisi, reminds us of his deep love for creation and invites us to become responsible caretakers of our common home.
At Lourdes Convent School (CBSE), this awareness grows through everyday learning and meaningful experiences. Students are encouraged to understand that protecting the environment begins with simple actions—saving water and electricity, avoiding waste, keeping surroundings clean, caring for plants and animals, and using resources responsibly. Plantation drives, cleanliness campaigns, awareness programmes, eco-friendly activities, creative projects, and competitions give students opportunities to turn awareness into action.
Our students also carry this spirit into their academics and co-curricular activities. While learning about the environment through different subjects, they are encouraged to connect knowledge with real-life responsibility. Through art, music, projects, performances, sports, and group activities, they discover their talents while learning teamwork, discipline, leadership, and care for others.
Being a steward is also about peace. When we learn to respect nature, value every living being, share resources responsibly, and care for one another, we contribute to a more peaceful world. The peace we seek around us begins with the attitude of care within us.
This journey is strengthened by our teachers and the loving support of parents. When the values learnt at school are lived at home, students understand that caring for creation is not merely an activity but a way of life.
