Things I Must Do Before Leaving Home for School
Have a careful look at your self in a fill length mirror.
That your uniform is neat, clean, well ironed and of the proper size.
That your tie and identity card are intact.
That your hair is neatly combed, plaited, and tied with black ribbons of proper length.
That your shoes are polished and socks are clean, fitting and of proper length.
That you are wearing only one simple pair of earrings.
That your nails are cut and you have not applied nail polish.
That you have no rings on your fingers, and chain around your neck.
Check:
That all the books in your bag are according to the day’s time table.
That no unwanted things are there in your school bag.
Remember that it is better to be half an hour early than five minutes late.
Feel proud if you are looking smart. Everyone admires a smart looking Lourdian.
Tips to be a Successful Student
Never omit any lesson or homework assigned.
Always revise the work done in class & get your difficulties solved.
If memory work is assigned, learn it overnight and repeat it the first thing in the morning.
Repeat at the end of the week, all that was learnt during the week.
Make a daily home time – table for yourself. In this way you will learn to be a student of regular habits, a most valuable asset in later life.
Realise the value of time. Do not wait till the approach of the examinations. The key to success is regular and sincere work. Do not waste, your God given talents for want of application.
